Hello, my name is Diane, I write and maintain Orange2LA with a little help from my wisecracking husband who has no idea why "one person needs so much makeup". I am 27, married as you probably know by now, and live in Southern California with a house full of beloved fish.I started writing this blog over a year ago as a way to de-stress and meet other people who shared the same obsessions. Currently this blog is dedicated to all the things I love: makeup, skincare products, haircare, and handbags.
I have loved cosmetics for quite some time, my amazing mother started teaching me at an early age how to be a young lady. She officially started letting me wear makeup when I was around 15, I say "officially" because I started sneaking black eyeliner when I was 12. My first makeup trip was with my mom to the Clinque counter, she thought they would have something "appropriate" for a girl my age. A year later I discovered MAC. I can still remember the fear in my Mothers eyes when I brought home that little black bag, I think that was in 1999, in 99' MAC wasn't so popular. That's where my obsession started- I was 15 standing by my mothers side, all those beautiful colors just waiting to go home with someone, and that someone had to be me. She had no idea what she started, she had no idea what was to come after, I blame everything on her-
on that wonderful woman I call "Mom".

When I'm not blogging you can catch me enjoying a cocktail, taking care of my beloved fish, annoying my husband as much as humanly possible, or waiting in line to see some of my favorite bands playing in Los Angeles. In a nutshell Orange2LA is my life stretched across Southern California.
