NuMe Vintage Professional Styling Iron

NuMe Vintage Professional Styling Iron - $200.00 Available: http://www.numestyle.com/

Product Description: (source)
NuMe's best selling Vintage professional styler is the original 100% solid ceramic iron that brings shine and luster back to the most course or wispy hair. With its rounded barrel design, it's ideal for transforming your hair to any glamorous look - silky straight, voluminous waves or perfect curls. Great for all hair types.
The NuMe Vintage is a classic Professional Styling Iron with a unique alignment system that ensures ideal contact between your hair and our 100% tourmaline ceramic plates. Using pure ceramic plates ensures even distribution, eliminating the hot spots and chipping associated with conventional irons. Our 100% ceramic plates emit negative ions which seals moisture in the hair cuticle keeping your hair shiny, healthy and silky smooth.

The idea of a flat iron usually puts me in a frenzy. I'm a blow dryer type of girl. It's taken years of practice, patience, burn marks, and frizzy hair to figure out what works best for me. Usually when I see flat irons I think: stick straight hair, which on a round face like mine looks scary. When I was offered to try a NuMe flat iron I was excited yet still a little scared. A friend of mine who is a flat iron queen convinced me that my idea of flat irons was dated, now flat irons are used in so many ways to style hair and that stick straight hair was a thing of the past. So I decided to give NuMe a chance, and I'm so glad I did.

NuMe is a professional hair styling tool brand that has just recently launched in the U.S. NuMe has been distributed to professional hair salons throughout Europe and is now trying to bring those professional quality tools to your door step. Let's face it, not all of us can afford to go to a salon and get our hair done every week. But we can buy a quality product that will give us that "salon" look at home. With proper care a professional tool should last you a very long time, for example my blow dryer was $150, but it lasted 8 years, It would have lasted longer but my husband kept dropping it and it finally broke in half. You might think $150-$300 is a lot to spend but that product should last a very long time. NuMe is great, their styling tools come with warranties up to 5 years on certain straighteners. I picked the NuMe Vintage Professional Styling Iron because it is NuMe's best selling iron and seemed perfect for someone like me.

Features & Benefits:
  • 100% solid ceramic plates prevent dry and damaged hair
  • Precision-engineered 1.25 inch floating plates (floating plates do not leave any creases in your hair as you flat iron)
  • Variable Temperature Control: 140-410 degrees F allows you to set the perfect heat setting for you hair type to prevent overheating
  • Ergonomic design to hold, handle and manipulate
  • Rounded Barrels create curls or flips your hair
  • Infrared heat technology seals in moisture for extra shine and luster
  • Negative Ion Technology reduce static and eliminate frizz for shinier, smoother, manageable hair
  • 360 degree salon-style swivel power cord allows for easy maneuvering as you style
  • Heats up with within six to ten seconds, reducing wait time
  • Built-in converter handles dual voltage from 110v to 240v

I really love this flat iron. The NuMe Vintage Professional Styling Iron comes in a sleek black box. Inside the box are printed directions of several ways you can style your hair:
  • Straight
  • Soft Curls & Waves
  • Flip In
  • Flip Out
  • Volumize
Also, a separate direction pamphlet is inside if you don't want to carry the box around. The iron itself is lightweight yet sturdy, it also has a no-slip grip to help you keep the iron in place when styling, as well as helps you to not drop it as I tend to do with styling tools. The power cord is long and swivels so you can better maneuver the straightener however you may need. The temperature setting ranges from 140°F-410°F, you can control the temperature depending on your type of hair, which also means this straightener can be used on any hair type. Since I have thick coarse hair I set mine at 410° (the hottest), if you have thinner hair of course you can use a cooler temperature. The Vintage Styling Iron has a light on the handle that let's you know when the iron is ready to be used.

Red- Warming
Green - Ready to go!

The iron heats up quickly, I walked away for just a moment to grab something, when I came back the light was already green. I didn't want my hair super straight and since the irons barrel is curved I used the directions marked "Flip-Out" and created a look that was straight on top but curled out at the bottom. The 100% ceramic plates made my hair shiny, smooth, and frizz-free. I liked that I didn't have to pass the iron through my hair numerous times, one pass and it was done. I have owned flat irons in the past but never really felt inclined to use them which is why after all these years I still stick with my blow dryer. NuMe Vintage Professional Styling Iron has given me the flat iron itch and now I want to use it everyday, especially on my pesky bangs! Oh bangs please grow out, I don't know what I was thinking cutting you.

I love, love, love your blog! You have been the source of many of my hauls! In fact I am expecting a delivery today of an Orange to LA inspired product. Your pictures are gorgeous and very color accurate...can you share the type of camera you use?

Thanks!

@Stacy, Thank you so much for your comment, it's truely one of the nicest comments I have ever gotten. What did you order??

I have a million cameras. Mr. Orange2la is a little camera crazy and always wants to try new ones. But I always come back to my trusty Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 which is what I used to take these pictures.

Thanks again!

Thank you! I am in need of a new camera and am in the "researching" stage.

As for my most recent OtoLA recommended product purchase :}:
today I got my Embryolisse creme. One of my favorite purchases was the Le Metier foundation!! I love Le Metier but had never tried their foundation. It is truly the best I have EVER used (and I have tried them all! almost). So thank you so much!!! The list goes on and on!
