New Paul & Joe Lipstick Additions

I haven't purchased any Paul & Joe products in so long! I love Paul & Joe products but for some reason nothing has jumped out at me, I have not bought anything since their 2010 Autumn Collection. I was on the look out for new lipsticks, I purchased a few of the new Chanel lipsticks (to me shown in a later post), but I really missed the beautiful packaging of my favorite P&J lipsticks. So I picked up two from the Spring 2011 Parasol Collection.

Paul & Joe oh how I love your beautiful paper tubes.

070 Chantilly, 071 Afternoon Delight

Too cute right? Once again P&J picked great patterns for these lipsticks.

Most Paul & Joe limited edition lipsticks are a little sheer and these are no different. 070 Chantilly is a coral peach color, I seem to always end up purchasing coral peachy colors. 071 Afternoon Delight is a wearable bright pink color, online it looked almost fuchsia but in person it is lighter, I love this color and have been wearing a lot of pink lipsticks lately. Both lipsticks are glossy and have a shiny finish, I love that since I'm not crazy about matte lips during summer.

070 Chantilly

071 Afternoon Delight

Only swiped once

Let's be honest, these two colors are not original or different. I'm sure we can all find a coral peach and bright pink lipstick in our collection. But, I'm a huge P&J fan, what can I say I have issues. I love the quality and how they feel on my lips. I'm glad I bought these and can't wait till my Paul & Joe Summer 2011 items arrive on my doorstep.

Until next time!

oooo both of these are so pretty!! I really wish Paul and Joe would bring their products to Sephora soon. Thanks for the swatches, Diane. Every time I see them on your blog, I want to run out and grab them.

Aw these paper tubes remind me of the good 'ol days of Stila paper packaging!

Yeah I haven't thought about P&J in a long time, sadly.

Hey Daine! How is it going? These lipsticks look so pretty and its great that you can switch them out, no?
I got three of the new eye gloss duos from P&J, you will love them I'm sure-- there is a LE purple/peach duo with the summer collection. There are also permanent set of 5 eye gloss duos, especially check out #4 and #5: taupey goodness and a lovely gunmetal with gold :)

Oops, just read that your summer collection purchases are on their way-- so you probably already knew what I just said-- Sowie!!!

I love your Paul and Joe posts! I got Afternoon Delight a while ago and absolutely adore practically everything from P&J, but there are such few bloggers that cover them at all, so thanks for the swatches. Can't wait to see what you got from the summer collection!

@Kristie, in a way I like that Paul & Joe is a little hard to find but sometimes I wish I didn't have to order everything online all the time.

@Lakshmi, I actually passed on all the duo's since I had not really heard anything about them. I wanted to get the taupe/gold one but ended up not getting any of them. Now you're making me re-think my choices! I should try at least 2 of the duo's shouldn't I? Besides the taupe/gold one which one should I get #4 or #5?

@Ali, I'll be posting my summer P&J items by the end of this week hopefully. You're right I also noticed I am seeing less and less P&J on blogs, I need to represent!

Hey Diane!
So the taupe/champagne gold one is #4 and gold/gunmetal is #5 in the permanent duos. If you have the original taupe eyegloss #5 (Murmur) then this #4's taupe side is very similar but slightly plummier rather than grey/purple, hehehe the difference is very subtle. But you know how when you line up all your taupes together they look *so* different!! ;)
The gunmetal color in #5 duo is beautiful but the gold side is so-so, quite sparkly.
If you wanted to get one eye gloss, I'd get the LE one #003, a peachy champagne and purple duo, purple is gorgeous! The others you can always decide later
The best part about these eye glosses is the formula is bullet proof, I haven't tested the new ones on my eyes but from my arm swatches they seemed long lasting.
Enjoy shopping!
Btw I also picked up one of the summer swirly eyeshadow singles: it looks a bit yellow but when swirled together you get a lovely olive/gold shimmery shadow. What did you pick up?

The packaging is so gorgeous, it's hard to resist buying them I imagine since they are so nice to look at! The colors are nice, and the sheer quality is probably good for a "wash" of color to the lips. I would consider them good casual lip colors since they look perfect for summer.

paul and joe has the prettiest packaging. i just want to collect them all, if only they aren't pricey.

i love the color of these lippies and P&J always had a great non drying lipstick formula! unfortunately i have never been a fan of the paper packaging so i still don't know whether i should pick up these lippies or not.. :/

Chantilly is SOOO pretty! *_* I like that it's kinda sheer.. The Cat Lipsticks got bad reviews, tho, but these look really nice! : D

@Lakshmi, I think I'm going to get the LE one #003 and #4, I'm so excited again! I purhcased all 3 of the swirly eyeshadows and the bronzer. I haven't really seen any reviews on the shadows and bronzer so I'm excited to see how they work for me.

@Mandy, casual lip colors is the best way to put it, you are so right. To me they are no brainers, I carry them with me and know they will go with pretty much anything I'm wearing.

@cushy, I know what you mean, there are a few older LE lipsticks I've seen that I want to buy but I can't seem to bring myself to dropping all that money. =(

@sugar sugar, I personally love the paper packaging but if you're not a fan of that I would say pass on these because the colors aren't original enough to make them REALLY stand out. I just collect all of the P&J LE lipsticks which is why I still bought them.

@나니, I actually love the Cat lipsticks, I think most people were shocked at how sheer the colors were, but I still liked them. These lipsticks are not as sheer as the cat ones.

Great! I look forward to hearing what you have to say about the bronzer, I considered getting it but then I'm in bronzer overdrive this season so decided to refrain... for now!! ;)

So beautiful! Both Chantilly and Afternoon Delight are so up my alley! I'd love to own both of them, if I didn't pick up quite a few just recently from Chanel and Dior.

But I know, I will eventually pick these up at a later time (if they are still available by then)! You know, how can I resist such beautiful packaged lipsticks? ;)

I can't wait until the summer collection too~ hahaha but im not sure which items i want to get. The blue packaging is just too awesome to pass up on. tehehe im a big big packaging-lover.

The lipsticks are too cute~ yesss... i love the peachy colors too. The paper packaging is not bad but I didn't really like it when their Alice in Wonderland disney lipstick was also in paper. I was sort of sad, because I definitely would want something as cute as that to last forever. hahah Im just weird like that~

They're not particularly unique shades, but they both look beautiful! I love the packaging especially, & the etched design on the bullet. I've never actually bought anything from P&J!
