Kemp Muhl or Charlotte Kemp Muhl is an American model who I am currently obsessed with. I have certain icons and woman I admire, all of my icons tend to lean towards the same look: dark hair, and fair skin. I started admiring Kemp Muhl when I saw her a few times singing in a band: The Ghost of A Saber Tooth Tiger here in Los Angeles. The Ghost of A Saber Tooth Tiger is a band that consist of Kemp Muhl and her boyfriend Sean Lennon, son of John Lennon. They are amazing, she truly has a beautiful voice, and she plays like 10 instruments, who would have known? I was lucky since the band was so new at the time I was able to see her up close and personnel.
One of the things you notice right away about Kemp is how beautiful her skin is. Up close her skin is dewy, even, porcelain, and flawless. I know what you're thinking-
"Come on Diane, flawless?"
Yes, her skin is flawless, and I mean flawless in that you think 'her face was airbrushed by Vogue' type of way. It's no wonder Maybelline Cosmetics got Kemp Muhl to be a spokesperson and the face of the new Maybelline Fit Me Foundation. After seeing the commercials on TV and finding out Kemp was promoting the foundation I ran to my local Ulta to see what all the fuss was about.

Apply smoothly and evenly to your face and blend with your fingertips.True to the description this foundation is very natural looking, and is light to medium coverage. The whole concept of "let the real you come through" was a little foreign to me, after all aren't we all trying to hide our flaws? Even though I wasn't totally keen on letting the "real me" shine through I wasn't entirely terrified either. I have been working all month on taking care of my skin and getting it ready for spring and summer. When testing this foundation I noticed my skin did look great with the light coverage, I didn't need the full coverage I have become dependent on. I also liked how easy the Fit Me foundation blended into my skin, it left my face with a pretty dewy finish. I bought #125 (light) which I think matches pretty well, for color comparison I'm MAC NC25. I would say I got a decent 5-6 hour wear out of the Fit Me Foundation.
The packaging is simple but nice: sleek bottle, black cap, I just wish it came with a pump to dispense the product. This foundation had no noticeable smell or fragrance. If you're looking for a full coverage foundation this is not for you, like I said earlier it's a light coverage, or course you can build it up to be more medium coverage but that would defeat the whole purpose of the foundation. The problem I think with building onto this foundation is since the finish is already dewy the more you put on the more you risk looking oily. Overall I think this foundation is better suited for those with dry skin, even I, with very dry skin had to blot my t-zone area because this foundation left it a tad bit oily. I guess the real question becomes; Would I repurchase? I would have to say 'no', I liked it, and I will continue to use it until it's empty but it's not HG material for me.

Dot concealer onto imperfections or under eyes. Pat with finger to blend.
This concealer is probably my favorite out of the whole Fit Me line. I bought this on a whim as I was leaving the Maybelline aisle at Ulta. This concealer comes in 6 shades and I ended up getting this in #25 Medium. I know that since I was #125 in the foundation I should have been the #10 in the concealer, but the concealer looked so light that I opted for the #25 which I think works great on my skin. This concealer is medium coverage, smooth, creamy, and not sticky. I used the concealer under my eyes for the dark circles, around my nose to cover some redness, and on a little dark spot I have on my cheek. The Fit Me concealer covered all those flaws without look heavy or cakey. I have to admit, after using the concealer my skin looked so good I didn't want to put on foundation. I have been using it almost everyday and have found no complaints. Would I repurchase? Actually I would, Yes. Even with all the concealers I have I really like this one and think I could wear this alone with a little powder and call it a day.

For soft, natural look, brush along cheekbone, sweeping upward.
I assume when they said lightweight they didn't mean almost non existent. In the packaging I thought the colors looked very pretty. Even though the packaging itself was questionable I still gave them a chance. I broke the Fit Me rules again and purchased Fit Me Blush in Medium Coral and Medium Nude. The colors are pretty, smooth, and they apply light as a feather, and I mean light. I assume all the colors are meant to look natural so the colors aren't bright or very pigmented. I like natural but these were too natural even when I'm makeup free I still like my cheeks to have a little color. When trying to swatch these for the blog I first tried using my fingers but the color didn't show. I grabbed the brush and tried to apply more color over that, still not enough, once again I tried to apply more color with my fingers, below is a pictures that shows the ending product. Each blush comes with it's own brush, but the hairs are not soft at all, also I didn't like how the brush would break up the blush (since it was so rough) and leave a powdery residue inside the packaging. Would I repurchase? No, these blushes are just not for me.
Fingers, brush, and fingers again, it was very had to swatch these blushes
Overall, the Fit Me collection is interesting. I like the concept of it all and I love Kemp Muhl, she looks great in these advertisements. The Fit Me collection just didn't... well, it didn't fit me.

Excellent review. Kemp Mulh is gorgeous, I love her lips. My long time favourite Maybelline model has to be Jessica White. :D
great review! i'm wearing the foundation today, not as heavy as i'd like it but i do have combo skin (very dry and very oily t zone) so it kinda works (but not all day). i do want to try the concealer now!
Awesome post. The model's skin looks flawless which makes a lot of people want to run out to purchase this. I think if my skin isn't so sensitive to everything, I may give this a try as well.
@StealMyHeartLovee: Thank you, Jessica White is beautiful, Maybelline sure knows how to pick models.
@Janine: The concealer is great, I really like it, I would say it's probably my favorite drug store concealer.
i've been trying super hard to stay away from drugstore products lol i was curious about this foundation but will probably stay away from it now after hearing your reviews! the concealer does sound tempting though
very nice review! glad to see ur foundation colors bc we are the same shade! i hate drugstore guesswork! will look into the concealer!
And the model looks amazing, i would buy something she is endorsing too haha
Thanks for the review. I agree, the spokesperson's skin is amazing!!
My main concern is DARK undereye circles so I don't know if the concealer would conceal that..
WTF is that thing on her head??? O_____O" ew..
Anyway.. she DOES have great skin, but I wish Maybelline had chosen another name for their line. For some reason the 'FIT ME' name is just such a turn-off for me. I generally don't purchase Maybelline products, but still.. >_<" oh well..
And yeah, I saw a few reviews. EVERYBODY hates the blushes XD hahaha
Aww thanks for all your support Diane! ^^ I've been blogging with you since I started--hmmmm -- I think we started around the same time, no? Anyways thanks so much!!!
And I need to ask you how you get your photos so pretty! How is your background so pristine and white?!! Let me in on the goods! hahah
Hi! Just found your blog yesterday and wanted to say that I really enjoyed it. I´ve read a couple o months back and I must say that you´ve posted a lot of interesting and inspiring stuff! Keep it up! ;)
I found out about the FIT ME line from your blog. I finally got a chance to pick up the concealer today in number 25, and I wanted to tell you that I love it! Thank you so much for introducing this product on your blog. Your review was helpful because I rarely check out drug store brands. I've been trying to look for a concealer that would cover my dark under eye circles that didn't look cakey and dry and wasn't too expensive. So far this seems to be working well for me. Anyway, keep up the great work with the blog. :-)
@Lillie, Thank you. I'm so happy to hear that you love the concealer. I am still using the concealer and love it. Hope it continues to be a great product for you. =)
Does anyone know what lip shade/color she is wearing in her magazine ad?
@ amy. seriously, all i want to know is what lipstick she's wearing. funny how in ads they always list everything but the thing you actually want to buy.
