If you read my last post about INGLOT then you are full aware of the who, what, where, why, and how I got these products. I will try not to backtrack, on with the post! INGLOT has an interesting line they call the 'Freedom System', the Freedom System allows you to create your own customized makeup palettes. These palettes can consist of powder, blush, concealer, eye shadows (either round pan or square), eyebrow powder (or wax), and lipstick.
INGLOT is not the first and only brand that allows you to create your own palette. MAC, Bobbi Brown, Addiction, Laura Mercier and a few others also allow you to make your own palettes. INGLOT palettes come in different shapes and sizes to suit your own personal makeup needs. Also, like stated above you can create a palette for anything, you can mix and match any product and put them in one palette. Confused yet?
The Freedom System must be INGLOT's pride and joy because as soon as I entered the SA hurried me to the section of do-it-yourself palettes. At first I thought the concept was really amazing, but after seeing so many colors and swatching I became overwhelmed and almost wanted someone to come out of the back with a palette and say "this is the one for you". But alas, that didn't happen. Instead I stepped back and took a second before making any decisions. I thought the best thing to do would be to get two different palettes, one palette with neutral everyday colored eye shadows, and one palette with bolder eye shadows. I have to point out that I love the packaging, the palettes are super sturdy and chic.
From what I could see the INGLOT eye shadows come in 3 different finishes, so with the neutral palette I got similar looking colors but with different finishes. I was impressed with the eye shadows; they are smooth, pigmented, and easy to blend. The problem I have that stops me from loving INGLOT is that nothing really jumped out at me. None of the colors were super special most of these colors could be found somewhere else within another brand. I lost my receipt and there's no prices on the website, but I think the 5-square pan palettes I purchased were $30 dollars.
Here is the difference with INGLOT VS MAC. With MAC you buy the palette:
- 4 Pro Pan Palette - $6.00
- 15 Pro Pan Palette - $14.00
Why did these swatches come out so messy?

The colors looks gorgeous and pigmented!
I was poking around at an Inglots for the first time a couple weekends ago, and I agree with your assessment that while the shadows are good quality, the colors weren't anything too special. I didn't get anything, but I think I will eventually. Can always use another neutral palette and a few more nail polishes or something. :P
I have to admit I'm totally intrigued!
I really love Inglot but have to admit that I was kind of POed to find out they were raising their prices so drastically! I went there and got a few things a few weeks ago and the girl told me (and I also read it on their twitter) that the prices went up Feb.7th...I'm not sure if they pushed it back to May or not but as of the weekend before, they were still planning on raising them on the 7th :(
But price issues aside, I love your neutral palette...especially the 2 gold shades!
@Pammy, yes they are very pigmented, I barely have to touch them with my brush. =)
@reene, I hope I wasn't too negative about the brand. I think they're great quality. It's just hard to get items from them since they're stores are limited, I don't think they are worth totally going out of the way to get. But if I had a store around me I def would be going there to get more items.
@Catherine, Hahaha, it's hard to say no to makeup! =)
@Tiffany, I called Inglot before posting this blog and they said they had still NOT raised the prices, they are having problems with raising the prices and won't be changing them until May.
Thanks for letting me know! I'm really glad you posted about it because after hearing about the price increase, I wasn't really planning on buying from them again in the near future but I may just have to make a few last minute purchases before the prices go up in May :)
wowww~ the colors are pretty! hahaha yeah, $30 for that palette is not a bad price. Very reasonable!
love the neutrals' one! <3 btw good to hear they won't be increasing their prices until May! I'm thinking of picking up their brushes.
P.s. I'm going to get the rest of the items for the CP today :)
These look so sleek and professional. I've been hearing about Inglot everywhere!!! :)
love your pick for the neutral palette! all the colors are so pretty
Could you please post the numbers of your neutral palette?
