IOPE Review

I am currently obsessed with clearing and whitening my skin. I went to The Amore, a store in Cerritos that carries Laneige, IOPE, and Sulwhasoo products. The Sales Associate at the store convinced me to try their IOPE skincare line to replace the Laneige products I have been using. Here is my review on the products I picked up that day.

Background Info:
-Whitegen RXC 100ppm contains 25.5% plant extracts.
-More water content in dry skin makes it look more transparent and shiny.
-Effective whitening ingredients prevent melanin over- generation and pigmentation.
-Contains whitlow-glass seed extracts, which remain white even under an intense sunlight, to help keep the skin clear and vital.
-Oil-water balance keeps the skin hydrated and soft, and creates the best environment for skin whitening.

The products I used:
IOPE Whitegen RXC Softner
IOPE Whitegen RXC Emulsion
IOPE Whitegen RXC Cream

Like every product we buy, we want to love it. At least I know I sure do, I want to love every product that I buy but, that doesn't always happen. My skin is easy to maintain I've never had acne, I have normal to dry skin, and I have no extreme scares or spots. I simply wanted to hydrate and whiten my skin just a little bit. I didn't have the best results with these products, they may not have been suitable for my skin but might still work for other people. My review is based only on my skin and skin type. Normal to Dry and Non Sensitive.

My face broke out. I don't normally break out from products, I don't have sensitive skin. After the first week of using these products I broke out ALL over my chin and it wouldn't stop, it was a losing battle. Every morning I woke up and there was more bumps. Now I have acne scares on my chin where I never had scars before. Not only did I break out with acne/pimples I started getting those little white bumps all over my face. I was freaking out. I didn't want to assume right away it was the IOPE so I took a break from these products. I cleaned my cellphone thinking that might be the problem, I changed my cleanser, washed all my makeup brushes, even threw away my non used sponges just in case. A week later after my acne cleared up I tried these products again, and guess what? Once again I broke out ALL over my chin! My skin has never been in worst shape, I'm very sad. I continued using these products hoping my skin would recover and get use to them, but they never did. I hate throwing products away but I finally gave up and threw them away.

I would not purchase these products again. I'm a little ticked off being that the SA at Amore told me these IOPE products were great and how everyone in her store uses IOPE. She also claimed IOPE was much better than Laneige. I know Laneige is not high end but Laneige never made me want to stay home with a bag over my face either. Everyones skin is different, so you must determine what is the best for your skin depending on texture and type, just because these didn't work for me doesn't mean they won't work for someone who has different type of skin.

Oh no, I'm sorry the IOPE products broke you out! I hope your skin recovers soon but I'm sure it's not too bad and you don't need a bag for your face lol. My product review for tomorrow is the Shu Uemura matte powder and it also broke me out in ways I never experienced! I feel for you Diane! :(

OMG this product should be kept at arms length and sounds as if it should not come into contact with any skin whatsoever.

I've been told that skin tends to get white bumps when the product used is too rich. I do hope you're fully recovered now.

Wow, that is so disappointing! I hope this is not the case for everyone who uses IOPE, otherwise that "testing" seems suspicious.

I'm sure it doesn't happen to everyone because the girl who sold it to me said she uses it. Now I could be stupid in believing her but I do believe she uses it. I'm just surprised it broke me out because I don't have sensitive skin. But maybe that's it, maybe someone with acne prone or sensitive skin wouldn't have the same effect.

thank you for this review! I do love whitening products as I think I look my best when pale. the scary part about trying new face products is sometimes you dont know if you are breaking out from purging or actually breaking out! so you gotta use it for at least 2-4 weeks which sucks sometimes! lol

Sulwhasoo is THE BEST from Amore (all Korean herbs). Its so expensive though but worth it, but it is way better than IOPE and Laniege! Also check out The History of Whoo, they have a website:

http://www.whoo.co.kr/global/english/product/seol_pdt1.html

and sold in Korean Supermarkets!

Always get the best for your skin, feed it nutrition guys!!!

It's not. I use iope and so do all the females in my family. IOPE is VERY rich, which can lead to breakouts, especially if you are under the age of 45. All in all, its a great product, but that doesn't mean it's for everyone. Even the most expensive products, like SKII broke me out...

Yeah IOPE is not bad, how long did you use it for? You know your suppose to allow your skin to adjust to this product for 30 DAYS!!! Its a MUST when comes to skin care and beauty.

There is nothing wrong with IOPE, I had a few breakouts when I first used the Trouble Spot Clinic from their line, but after 30 days when my skin adjusted to the product, the results were amazing. Don't waste what you bought, just use it and see if your skin loves it or hates it AFTER 30 DAYS trust me :) I got this information from Cosmo school and from aestheticians :) Hope this helps!
